Terms of Service

This is a plain-English summary of the agreement. It is not legal advice — we'll have it reviewed by a professional before public launch.

1. Who can use FamilyProtect

You must be at least 18 and the parent or guardian (or otherwise authorised) for the devices you protect. By creating an account you confirm you own or control those devices and are entitled to install protection software on them.

2. The service

FamilyProtect enforces the device and network protections you choose across your family's devices and shows you their status. We work to keep the service reliable but provide it "as is"; no filtering is perfect, and it complements — not replaces — your involvement as a parent.

3. Subscription & billing

FamilyProtect is a rolling monthly subscription of £4.99/month, billed through Stripe. It renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account and keep access until the end of the current period. Applicable taxes may apply.

4. Acceptable use

Use FamilyProtect only to protect devices you own or are authorised to manage, and in line with the law. Don't use it to covertly surveil adults or anyone whose devices you're not entitled to control, and don't attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.

5. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

6. Cancellation & deletion

You may cancel or delete your account at any time. Deleting your account ends the subscription and removes your household's data as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, FamilyProtect isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; we'll post the new version here and update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
